Man Flees U.S. After Allegedly Murdering Woman & Infant Son – Arrested in His Native Ecuador

Ecuardorean national, Luis Agustin Guaman is wanted by U.S. authorities for questioning in the brutal death of a mother and her infant son.

Authorities in Boston say Guaman was the last to see 25-year old Maria Avelina Palaguachi-Pela and her 2 year old son Brian Palaguachi just before their bodies were found in a trash bin in the city of Brockton.  The police have not revealed the connection between Guaman and Pela but they were seen arguing before she was found dead.  And the woman’s roommate, a undocumented Mexican immigrant, knew the suspect.

The man fled the U.S. to his native Ecuador where he was arrested after relatives of the victims living in Ecuador turned him in.  It is expected that Guaman will be extradited back to the U.S. to face authorities.

Meanwhile family of Palaguachi-Cela are raising funds to bring her body back to Ecuador where she is survived by two daughters and her parents.
