Madonna is launching her own global chain of gyms and fitness centers, and the place where the queen of pop will start her exercise venture, is Mexico City.
Not a stranger to the world of fitness, the timeless sex-symbol will reportedly be opening a number of gyms with the name “Hard Candy” in several cities around the world.
Possibly as the most successful female artist of all time, the 52 year old singer, actress, model, fashion designer and film director has partnered with her manger, Guy Oseary, and Mark Mastrov (founder and CEO of 24 Hour Fitness), to open a chain of gyms called the “Hard Candy Fitness Centers, named after her 2008 album, the chain, the artist hopes, will spice fitness with a dash of entertainment.
Madonna is expected to attend the opening of Mexico City fitness center on November 29; she will subsequently open ten more locations spread about in Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Europe and Asia.
“Our goal is to create an environment inspired by Madonna’s vision and high standards of what the ideal gym would be,” said Mark Mastrov, chairman of New Evolution Ventures, which is launching the clubs in partnership with Madonna and her manager Guy Oseary. “Hard Candy Fitness will be a reflection of Madonna’s point of view and will reflect her input on every detail, including music space, light and other design cues,” he added. “Madonna’s touch will be everywhere.”
Madonna has also recently launched a teen clothing line exclusively for Macy’s department stores called “Material Girl” in partnership with her teenage daughter Lourdes.
