Photo: Nanny Accused of Killing CNBC Exec's Children Indicted on Murder Charges
Yoselyn Ortega stands accused of killing two of the three children in her care and has now been indicted on murder charges.
On October 25, Ortega was found in a bathroom of the Manhattan home of Marina and Kevin Krim, a CNBC executive. Tw-year-old Leo and Six-year-old Lulu (Lucia) were found dead just inches away and Ortega had what would later be determined to be a self-inflicted stab wound to her neck and slas
Mrs. Krim came upon the horrific scene after returning home with 3-year-old Nessie after Ortega and the other children failed to meet her and Nessie at a swim class.
Police are unsure if the Dominican nanny has a lawyer, but she is expected to be arraigned via video, as she remains in the hospital. She reportedly stabbed herself so hard she fractured a vertebra in her neck. She was put in a medically induced coma, only recently being awoken to speak with police.
According to the New York Post, Ortega has given police brief statements about what happened, added that the Krims wanted her to do house work which they agreed to pay her for.
On October 28, Ortega reportedly told police, “I’m paid to watch the children, not clean up and do housework.”
Ortega had been having financial troubles recently and sources say the Krims tried to help her out by offering her about 5 hours of housework each week on top of her childcare duties in order to earn more money.
