Photo: Owen Lemire Kato, 23, popped zits in front of disgusted customers
At some point everyone sees someone do something in public that is simply disgusting. For consumers at a Florida McDonald’s that someone was Owen Lemire Kato.
Kato, 23, disgusted Cape Coral fast-food customers when he decided to squeeze and pop the zits on his back. When the diners complained, he was asked to stop. When he failed to do so, an off-duty police officer began questioning Kato, and that’s when he got himself into more serious trouble than just popping zits in public.
The off-duty officer asked Kato what his name was, to which replied name “John Smith”. He ended up admitting he lied about his name, but then took off on foot. The off-duty officer gave chase it was then that another officer (on duty) saw Kato run pass his cruiser just after hearing the call go out about the disturbance. Kato was tackled shortly after and taken in to custody.
When searched Kato was found to have a syringe in his pocket which he reportedly uses to inject Oxycontin.
He was arrested and has been charged with driving without a license and was also charged with giving false ID to an officer, resisting arrest without violence and possession of drug equipment.
Kato says he lied about his name and ran because there was an active warrant out for his arrest.
