Raul Marin Sandoval, 26, featured twice on the television show “America’s Most Wanted,” was arrested recently by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the port of San Luis, Arizona.
Officers referred Sandoval for additional inspection when he attempted to enter into the U.S. through a pedestrian crossing Tuesday. He was later taken into custody after a routine record check disclosed the 2004 homicide warrant.
Sandoval is suspected in a 2004 murder at the Prunedale Shopping Center in Salinas, California where Brenden Kaname Tsukimura was killed during a robbery. Two suspects have been charged and convicted in the murder but Sandoval has remained at large until his capture.
The show featured Sandoval, 26, in episodes that aired March and December 2011, indicating he was wanted in Salinas for homicide.
The show has helped captured 1,202 fugitives worldwide.
