During the trial of a New York narcotics officer, claims were made that he gave a woman drugs before forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

During the bench trial of Jason Arbeeny, one of eight undercover officers with the NYPD currently on trial, Melanie Perez claimed she was forced by an officer she knew only as ‘Frank’, to perform oral sex after being given crack. However, she testified she never had contact with Arbeeny.

Perez, a drug addict, said she did not know what else to do and complied with the wishes of the officer, who later introduced her to Officer Sean Johnston, who is also alleged to have given her drugs on a number of occasions.

She said Johnston gave her “a nice piece for Christmas.” She added, “It was crack and it was kickin’.”

Earlier this year, Johnston was convicted of one count of corruption and was sentenced to probation. He was acquitted of 34 other charges, including the accusations made by Perez.

Perez’s testimony is only part of the troubling revelations in the officers’ trials. Others include testimony of the officers planting drugs on innocent victims (called ‘flaking’) in order to meet arrest quotas and collect overtime pay.

The trials have all been an embarrassment for Brooklyn’s South Narcotics Squad.

Earlier this month, former detective Stephen Anderson revealed his personal account of the squad’s deplorable behavior.

And due to the ‘flaking’ lawsuits, the city is paying $1.2 million to settle claims of false arrests, each claim between $15,000 and $300,000.
