A Texas man was arrested over the weekend after he led police on a high-speed chase with his baby daughter in the back seat.
Alexis Treviño, 20, was spotted speeding Sunday morning in Brownsville, TX, but when a Cameron County sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull him over, Treviño refused to stop.
As he fled officers, he reached speeds of up to 109 mph.
Treviño was reportedly leading police on a high-speed chase with both his 3-month-old daughter and her mother in the vehicle.
He finally came to a stop at FM 802 and deputies immediately attempted to put him in handcuffs, but he fought with them. He has been charged with resisting arrest, evading arrest, and child endangerment.
Treviño was on probation following another police chase back in September 2012, though police say it is unclear why he took off this time.
The “Father of the Year” candidate was released after posting $20,000 bond.
