A 17-year-old girl is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 12-year-old girl in Texas’ Cameron County.
Griselda Herrera, 17, was arrested last week and is facing multiple charges including harboring a runaway after a 12-year-old girl ran away from home and to Herrera’s.
According to court reports, when the 12-year-old runaway returned to her family on April 9, she had hickeys on her neck. She admitted to her family that she was in a relationship with Herrera and that the marks were from her.
The young girl’s family confronted Herrera who did not live far, and according to Valley Central Herrera told them, “I love her.”
She is currently remains in jail with a number of bonds totaling $120,000. She faces two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, harboring a runaway, and enticing a child.
