Photo: Latin Hottie Juan Pablo Galavis Confirmed as the Next 'Bachelor'
Though reported on rumors retired soccer star Juan Pablo Galavis was being set up at the new “Bachelor,” it was confirmed Monday night.
During “The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose,” host Chris Harrison officially announced 32-year-old Galavis will be the next rose-giver.
Harrison said of Galavis, “In the history of the show, no guy had bad a greater impact with less screen time.
The 18th installment of the series is set to begin filming this fall and will air in January 2014..
Galavis, who was born in New York but raised in Venezuela, has a 4-year-old daughter named Camila. During his time on “The Bachelorette,” he expressed his desire to find “the person to join me and my daughter.”
