JUST IN:  Argentine Angel Cabrera Falls Short in The 2013 Masters, Adam Scott Wins

Argentine golfer Angel Cabrera fell short in a 2-hole sudden death playoff with Australian Adam Scott, who has won The Masters 2013.  Tiger Woods tyed for fourth place.  Both golfers made par on the first playoff hole before Scott sunk a 12-foot birdie to win the green champions jacket. 

Scott, 32, becomes the first Australian champion at Augusta National. 

Cabrera, 43, was one of only four Hispanics players invited to the prestigious PGA tournament.  Cabrera also known as “El Pato” was the first Latin American to win the Masters in 2009 and in 2013 he had a very strong showing throughout ending -9 under par.

In 2009 Cabrera was also involved in a three-way sudden-death playoff, with Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry.  Cabrera two-putted for par and won the green champions jacket, making Latin American sports history.
