New England Patriot’s player Aaron Hernandez has been charged with the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd who was found with a bullet to the back of his head over a week ago.
Lloyd’s body was found a mile away from the NFLers home. Hernandez came under scrutiny almost immediately after the body was found on June 17. A car was seen near the scene of the crime that was quickly tied to Hernandez.
Hernandez faces five charges the least of those charges are possession of a firearm with out a permit. The charges were read to a packed court room in North Attleborough county. The charges indicate that Hernandez did not work alone and prosecutors want bail denied based on evidence Hernandez actively destroyed crucial evidence including his cell phone and home security video. The courtroom proceedings indicate that Lloyd was last seen with Hernandez at 2:30 a.m. and his body discovered in an industrial park at 5:30 a.m.
Hernandez entered a not guilty plea.
Authorities had been observed searching Hernandez’ home several time removing bags of evidence. The $40 million Patriot was dropped from the team this morning when he was seen leaving his house in handcuffs being put into a police vehicle.
