The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is reporting 7.6 magnitude earthquake has hit Mexico 15 miles east of Ometepec in Guerrero, Mexico and 108 miles east-southeast of Acapulco.
The earthquake hit at 12:02 pm with a 4.0 mile depth. New reports have the magnitude closer to 7.9.
Reuters is reporting that the quake was so strong that buildings shook in Mexico City.
