The Colombian singer personally asked Juan Luis Guerra to be in charge of the direction and production of his next album, to be recorded in February 2012.
“To record an Unplugged means everything to me, is to comeback to the center of it all, to the basics, the essence and nakedness of my music,” said Juanes in a Mtv Tr3s press release.
Juanes Mtv Unplugged will include classic songs such as “A Dios le Pido,” and “Mala Gente,” as well as new material, developed with the collaboration of Dominican great, Juan Luis Guerra.
Guerra, said Juanes is playing better than ever. “This Unplugged will be the perfect scenario to get acquainted with the most intimate corners of [Juanes’] music,” remarked Guerra.
The Juanes MTV Unplugged special will be recorded on February 2012 at the New World Center in Miami Beach.
