Jose Canseco has needed a break for some time, a break from his poor judgment and failed efforts to rehabilitate his image and now he might of just finally won one.

Las Vegas authorities have just announced Canseco, 48, has been cleared of sexual assault.  Last month Canseco announced via Twitter that he was being accused of drugging and raping a woman.  In a very criticized move Canseco revealed the name of his accuser and posted a picture of her and identified her as a fitness model.

To further outrageous woman right’s groups Canseco even posted the alleged accusers phone number  and work address so the media could contact her and urge her to take a polygraph to clear his name.

Shortly after his revelation Las Vegas authorities confirmed Canseco was a “person of interest” in the alleged sexual assault but never filed charges against him.

The former major league player recently tried out for the Mexican Baseball league but was turned away after admitting (again) to taking banned substances.

In 2005, the former designated hitter admitted to using steroids in his tell-all book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hit & How Baseball Got Big”. In 2008, he was detained by San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a border crossing as he tried to bring a fertility drug into the country from Mexico.
