The actresses have signed to play mommies-to-be in a comedy titled “What to Expect When you are Expecting”
The film, directed by Kirk Jones (“Waking Ned Devine” Nanny McPhee) is an adaptation of Heidi Murkoff’s book of the same name, which has been a New York Times bestseller for more than 500 weeks. Heidi Murkoff wrote the script, then revised by Shauna Cross.
Lionsgate says the film is “a modern look at love through the eyes of four interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn’t always deliver what’s expected.”
Lopez’s character, Holly, for instance, has difficulty conceiving a baby with her husband; they plan to adopt a baby for abroad,
The film is set to start shooting this summer, so it’s ready for a tentative release date of Mother’s Day 2012.
