The late great Jenni Rivera and her family want to make sure ‘La Diva de la Banda’ is never forgotten and now when you reach for your tequila you can think of Jenni.
The family has launched “La Gran Señora Tequila” which had been developed and approved by Rivera while she was still living. The name for the tequila comes from the singer’s mariachi-driven album by the same name. The tequila will be available for sale next month.
The singer was often seen drinking tequila while performing in concert and while on her reality show “I Love Jenni”.
The tequila release is coinciding with the family-authorized autobiography “Unbreakable” that was released last week, on what would have been her 44th birthday.
Coming soon the family said is a line of Jenni Rivera jeans and jewelry. All these projects had been started by the singer before her untimely death. In 2009 the singer released a fragrance and cosmetic line and announced plans for a tequila line sometime in the future.
All those plans were cut short when the Mexican-American singer’s private plane went down last year in Mexico on December 9, 2012.
