The internet hacker group, Anonymous, is now threatening to attack the government websites of the Dominican Republic in retaliation for what the group perceives as inadequate education for their young.

In two YouTube messages read in Spanish, the group stated

“Education is the future of a country, and if we have to make the economy of the country tremble, we will do so. The people are not scared of the government. The government should be scared of the people. We are Anonymous, a legion, we will not forgive, wait for us.”

The Dominican President’s Office website had just been hacked earlier in the month by a group identifying itself as the People’s Liberation Front that was tired of corruption and government inefficiencies.

The warnings call for the attack to happen sometime today, on August 22nd.
