On Tuesday, the inspirational YouTube makeup guru Talia Castellano passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Known on YouTube as TaliaJoy18, Castellano not only impressed people with her makeup skills, but also with her outlook on life. Though knowing her ultimate fate, this young girl encouraged many to live each day to its fullest, as one’s days are limited.

Talia’s official Facebook page currently reads:

#‎prayfortalia‬ It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time. God speed little one, may you be free from pain and suffering, may your soul feel the light and love that you brought to so many of us on this Earth during the short time you were her with us. We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl.

Last fall, Castellano appeared on Ellen where she was made an honorary CoverGirl, given a gift of $20,000 as well as a brand new makeup table.

In 2007, Castellano was initially diagnosed with stage four Neuroblastoma and had two relapses, the most recent being in August of 2010.  Instead of worrying about her fate, however, Castellano decided to pursue her dream of being a make-up artist and presented her talents on her own YouTube Channel. Shortly after her battle with cancer began she lost her hair. Not caring for wigs, the bald yet beautiful child learned to make herself feel beautiful by learning professional make-up techniques. Her stunning makeup made her a YouTube sensation, with groups like r/MakeupAddiction on Reddit giving her praise.

Sadly, just before her appearance on Ellen, Castellano revealed on her channel that she was now battling two forms of cancer, with pre-leukemia discovered in her bone marrow.

Though she may have passed away, Talia Joy’s videos live on.
