In spite of Animal Die-Offs, Cicadas Coming to U.S. this year, 13 Years After Last Visit

It appears that the noisy and crunchy-under-the-foot cicadas are coming to the U.S. this year in spite of all the other unexplained animal die-offs, dubbed ‘animapocalypse’.  Scientists are saying the cicadas 13 year cycle to emerge from underground has not been disrupted by the surge in mass animals deaths.

When the ground temperatures near 64 degrees, following Mother Nature’s clock work, the cicada will emerge mainly around the Southeastern region of the U.S.

The ‘synchronization’ that has defined the cicadas periodic appearance though unexplained remains unaltered by what is going on topside this year.  So expect to see them coming in swarms, estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands,  around April – May.
