The following is a poignant message from Reform Immigration FOR America that honors our troops and the many Hispanics in the military on this Memorial Day:

Francisco Montano was only 7 years old when he was brought to the United States. Mexican-American, Francisco grew up to be a Navy SEAL, willing to protect his fellow Americans and even die for the country he loves.

“My name is Francisco Montano. I’m an Navy SEAL Senior Chief in the United States Navy and I am from Calipatria, CA….I love my country…I.’m working for the greatest country on Earth and I’ll defend it and I’ll die for it if I have too.”

Watch Francisco explain why he does what he does for his adopted country in this video from SiTV.

This Memorial Day we give thanks to all the men and women—past and present, immigrant and non-immigrant alike—serving in our armed forces.
