In September a new public service announcement (PSA) featuring the beautiful faces of Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria Parker will urge Hispanics to fight for their civil rights and stand up against Arizona’s controversial SB 1070.
Dawson spearheaded the United We Win collaboration that originated from her efforts to get every Hispanic counted in the 2010 Census. Cable TV network Mun2 is also involved and lending their filming talents.
Eva Longoria Parker has been a vocal opponent of Arizona SB 1070 and was motivated to send a message to others to stand up in opposition by exercising their right to vote. She describes herself as a “ninth-generation American” of Hispanic descent that happens to have dark skin and feels SB 1070 racially profiles people like her.
