Yesterday no one knew who Rey Decerega was or maybe even who the Hispanic Caucus Institute is but thanks to 12 stitches the leader of the free world received, they do now.
The President and Decerega, program director at the Hispanic Caucus, were part of a friendly five on five basketball game at Ft. McNair in Washington D.C. yesterday. The game which included Arne Duncan, head of Department of Education, resulted in the President getting a bloody lip and needing 12 stitches. We aren’t sure who labeled the game friendly?
Decerega wasn’t immediately identified but later came forward with a statement but not really an apology. “I enjoyed playing basketball with him this morning. I’m sure he’ll be back out to the court again soon.” We know he will be but we aren’t too sure you will be Rey.
