Hemet City, California Votes to Back Arizona’s Anti-Illegal Immigration Law

This past Tuesday Hemet City Council members voted 4-0 in favor of backing Arizona’s anti-illegal immigration law. Two nearby cities expressed support for Arizona’s immigrant law, one passed an ordinance requiring businesses to verify the residency status of people they hire.

On Monday, voters in Freemont, Nebraska approved a ban on hiring or renting property to undocumented immigrants. The recently approved laws will face challenges, as Obama’s Administration has moved to formally denounce it in the courts.
