Hidden under black netting in the middle of the desert, police found 300 acres of marijuana!
Thousands of plants, some towering over 8 feet were found by the Mexican military some 150 miles south of Tijuana, across the border from San Diego.
The field broke the world record for largest pot crop ever found. Police found toilets for at least 60 workers, as well as a sophisticated irrigation system, fed by two wells, all in the middle of the desert.
General Alfonso Duarte said troops will soon burn the entire crop, from which 120 tons of marijuana could have harvested, essentially burning $160 million dollars worth of product.
Six people were arrested at military checkpoints, close to the scene.
