Georgia Sex Ring with Ties to Mexico Busted - Involved Undocumented Immigrant Females

Four Mexican nationals have been charged in Atlanta, Georgia with operating a sex ring that involved the sexual trafficking of undocumented female immigrants from Tlaxcala, Mexico.

These men dubbed “romeo traffickers” for inciting young women to come to the U.S. with promises of love and marriage, are then forced into prostitution as sex slaves.

The men:  Arturo Rojas Coyotl, 26,Odilon Martinez-Rojas, 41, Severinao Martinez-Rojas, 48, and Daniel Garcia-Tepal, 28, were arrested by Georgia FBI and charged with sex trafficking and alien harboring in the cities of Atlanta and Norcross between 2006-08 and from 2010-13.

Sex trafficking is a malicious crime whether the victims are American citizens or foreign nationals,” said Sally Quillian Yates. U.S. Attorney in Atlanta. “The defendants are charged with preying on young women from Mexico and Guatemala, smuggling them into the United States under false pretenses, and forcing them into prostitution.

All the suspects except for Severiano Martinez-Rojas are in custody.
