It isn’t everyday that a former Rocker with heinous hair and reality show star show get to meet a President and First Lady and tour the Governmental Palace unless its Peru.
Aging rocker Gene Simmons and his wife Shannon Tweed were in Peru to perform at the Rock ‘N’ Roll All Stars concert and film footage for his reality show on A&E, ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels.’
The Rock ‘N’ Roll All Stars is made up of Simmons, Joe Elliot of Def Leppard, Sebastian Bach, former members of Guns N’ Roses and miscellaneous musicians from The Cult, Alice in Chains, Collective Soul and Black Country Communion. Peru was their only stop in their Latin American tour, if that makes any sense.
Nonetheless, Simmons made the most of his time in the country last week by getting the VIP treatment from President Ollanta Humala Tasso and First Lady Nadine Herdia. Simmons and Tweed also got an escorted tour of the Governmental Palace in Lima.
The rocker even filmed a special segment on a local TV show and the audience went nuts, especially when Simmons decided to do a dance.
We love how in Spanish they describe Tweed as ‘ex-conejo’, i.e. ex-bunny. Check it out!
