“Fuerza 2010” National Voter Registration Campaign Launched by Hispanic Evangelicals

Hispanic Evangelicals through its approximate 30,500 churches will seek to register Hispanic faith voters for the upcoming November 2010 mid-term election in a campaign dubbed “Fuerza 2010”.  Many see this mid-term election critical to the debate around passing comprehensive immigration reform.

America’s largest Hispanic Christian organization, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) is spearheading the effort targeting Latinos in its member churches spread across the U.S. that encompass over 52 different denominations.  The stated purpose for the voter drive is strengthening the voice of the Hispanic faith vote and for them to “vote [their] Christian world view and frame the narrative of righteousness and renewal” through this election, stated NHCLC officials.
