Jump start your weekend with these eight freebies, including a free 60-day membership to BJ’s warehouse club and a free air freshener. Feel like making some home improvements this fall? Check out Home Depot’s free Do It Herself workshop coming up. Plus, there are two coupons for free food with purchase. Enjoy!
Get a free BJ’s membership for 60 days when you print out this BJ’s coupon. The coupon expires Dec. 31, 2010 and it’s truly a fab deal. Typically, BJ’s offers a free one-day membership, but it comes with a 15% surcharge that is redeemed if you join the club within seven days. This BJ’s coupon, however, gets you membership without any surcharges.
The 60-day period is certainly long enough for you to decide if buying an annual membership, which is $40, makes sense for you. On a side note: BJ’s has one of the best coupon policies of the warehouse clubs. It accepts in-house coupons (obviously), manufacturer coupons, and food stamps. BJ’s has more than 180 locations in 15 states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. Find a BJ’s near you.
Get a free air freshener from Greena, an organization devoted to preserving watersheds and the environment. Greena’s mission makes me think the freebie is somehow eco-friendly, but the site doesn’t say one way or the other. Perhaps the air freshener smells like a forest, or a clod of fresh earth? The site is giving away 12,000 air fresheners so it’s unclear when the supply will run out. Don’t delay if you are interested! Click the link above, scroll, down, and share your name, address, email, and country. You can also sign up for their email list, though I don’t believe it is necessary to get the freebie. This freebie is available worldwide.
Start suds-ing up with a free sample of either Dawn Hand Renewal with Olay Beauty or Cascade® Complete® All-in-1, your choice. To get the freebie you have to answer eight questions about your dish washing habits, plus share your name, address, and email. You will get added to a few email lists if you join, but you can also use a special email just for freebies or unsubscribe later. The company running this promotion, Madej Media, is not associated or affiliated with the free product brands. The freebie is merely a carrot to get you to take the quiz and share your personal information. There are a few caveats: you must be 18 years of age or older and must reside in the U.S. to be eligible for the freebie, which will arrive in four to six weeks.
Sign up for Home Depot’s next Do-It-Herself workshop on Sept. 30 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and if you are one of the first 30 people, you will get a free project organizer. Even if you don’t get the organizer, the home improvement workshop is free. It features (read: is soft pitch for) Martha Stewart Living products and will offer expert tips to coordinate kitchen, paint, and carpet choices on a budget. Home Depot has free workshops every weekend. Topics include interior and exterior painting, decorative flooring solutions, home energy efficiency, fall plant maintenance, and maintaining your driveway. By signing up for a workshop you are also signing up to receive emails from the Home Depot Home Improvement Club. If you don’t find the emails helpful, unsubscribe. Signing up supports WalletPop.
Get a free sample of John Frieda’s Root Awakening, a line of shampoo and conditioner that “nourishes hair from root to tip.” You’ll need to answer three questions about your hair habits and sign up for SavingLane, the site sponsoring the giveaway. SavingLane connects companies with budget-conscious consumers and vice versa. To register, share your name, date of birth, address, and e-mail. You’ll also need to create a log-in and password. Caveats: expect the free sample to arrive in a few weeks. As part of signing up you’ll get haircare offers from Frizz-Ease, Sheer Blonde, Brilliant Brunette, Root Awakening and Luxurious Volume. Are these products you’d like to hear about? If not, maybe this freebie isn’t for you. Signing up supports WalletPop.
Now for two freebies you’ll get with purchase:
Make a reservation through Open Table for a restaurant on Sept. 15, 2010, and get a free dessert for every two entrees your party orders. The deal celebrates the premiere of Top Chef Just Desserts, a new television show on Bravo! Dozens of restaurants are participating in Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C. However, not all restaurants on OpenTable.com are participating in the so-called Free Dessert Day, so make sure to check the link above for participating eateries. When in doubt, call ahead to check. Caveats: This offer cannot be combined with any other offer, event, discount or promotion.
Head on over to Del Taco’s Facebook page to get a coupon for a free breakfast sandwich with any purchase. Expires Sept. 16, 2010. You can only click on the coupon’s print button once so make sure your printer is connected and working. The sandwiches come in two variations—sausage or bacon, egg, and cheese. The freebie is only available during breakfast hours. Find a Del Taco near you. Caveats: Limited to one coupon per visit. Cannot be combined with any other offer, coupon, or discount. Valid at participating locations only. You can only use the coupon once during the valid period.
