Actress Eva Longoria has denied rumors that she was on a date with Lakers’ Matt Barnes last Thursday, and said the dinner in NY was to talk about a charity event.
The New York Post’s ‘Page Six’ reported Sunday that actress Eva Longoria and basketballer Matt Barnes were seen sharing a cozy, flirty dinner at Il Mulino Restaurant in Greenwich Village.
A disgruntled Longoria lashed back on the internet, telling her 2.5 million followers “Once again, press gets it wrong, Matt Barnes and I are not dating! We are doing a charity event together for Padres and Athletes vs Cancer. Why is the truth never the headline?”
Barnes had announced last week that he and fiancé Gloria Govan, mother of his 2-year-old twins and star of the VH1 reality show “Basketball Wives LA,” had separated. Meanwhile Longoria has been dating Penélope Cruz brother, Eduardo Cruz since the Spring.
