ELECTION:  Number of Hispanics that Voted Early Increased this Year

If the number of Hispanics casting early ballots is an indicator of the community’s election participation then it will be a high turnout.  The number of Latinos that voted early for the mid-term elections is up by thirteen percent compared to last mid-term election season in 2006.

White House officials are estimating that 660,000 Hispanics have voted thus far which leads the administration to be ‘encouraged’ that many other Latinos will come out and vote today.

A total of 5.59 million Hispanics voted in 2006 with 69 percent voting Democratic.
