While we can appreciate one being passionate about politics, when someone blurts out a death threat against a presidential candidate that’s not exactly the passion to be applauded.

An elderly Puerto Rican woman named Julia Rodriguez was interviewed by The Blaze at the Democratic National Convention the week.

During the interview, a fired up Rodriguez says Mitt Romney “will destroy this country, if he [becomes] President of the United States.”

However, she goes on to say, “I don’t believe him. If I see him I would like to kill him.”

While it is unlikely Ms. Rodriguez, who has lived in New York’s Bronx neighborhood for 40 years, has any intention of actually hurting the Republican candidate, it has been brought to the attention of the Secret Service.

Oh Thursday, Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie told The Blaze, ‘We are aware of it and we will conduct the appropriate follow-up.’

So what do you think about Julia Rodriguez’s comments?
