The Salvadorian government has denounced the mistreatment of Central Americans, including two salvadorians in Mexican shelters, this past July 2nd. The aggressors were dressed in federal police uniforms when they entered San Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin shelter located in Lechería a state of México, and tried to abduct the immigrants.
The aggressors were armed, physically attacked and verbally abused the Central American immigrants. They only left when they were told that the National Human Rights Commission of Mexico were on their way. Salvadorian authorities are currently investigating the incident.
El Salvador’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says in Spanish through a press release, “makes a call to Mexican authorities to investigate exhaustively the unfortunate events.”
