Mexican authorities are announcing the capture of one of the country’s most wanted drug lords, Sergio Villarreal Barragan, also known as El Grande. Barragan was arrested after a raid in Puebla, Mexcio, 30 marines were involved in the capture.
El Grande is one of the alleged leader of the Beltran Leyva cartel operating out of most of Mexico including Mexico City. There was a $2 million reward. This key capture comes in the heals of the capture of Edgar Valdez Villarreal, known ‘La Barbie.’ The administration of President Felipe Calderon have captured four key cartel leaders this year and many other junior associates.
