The career bad news just keeps piling up for Spanish radio jock Eddie ‘Piolin’ Sotelo.  The former host of ‘Piolin en la Mañana’ was just released from the family-friendly Free Birds movie.

It was just last month that the popular disc jockey was suddenly axed from the Univision Radio Network after charges of gay-centric harassment surfaced from fellow employee Alberto ‘Beto’ Cortez.  Shortly after those allegations surfaced another former employee said Sotelo created a hostile work environment.

Apparently Piolin, a.k.a. Tweety Bird, is just toxic right now though he vows to be back on the radio in short order.

Relativity Media and Reel FX who are producing the Free Birds movie has replaced Piolin with Carlos Alazraqui, an Argentine comedian and voice actor.  Most recently his voice can be heard on the movie “Planes” as El Chupacabra.  The “Free Birds” movie, also starring Owen Wilson and Amy Poehler, has a November 1 release date.

The 41-year-old native of Jalisco, Mexico had been making a name for himself in movie voice-over work recently heard as the voice of Uncle Fungus in “Ice Age” Continential Drift” and Humberto in “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta!”

Sotelo’s radio program aired nationally on about 50 stations for nearly 10 years, and at one time was the No. 1-rated morning program in any language in the Los Angeles region.
