Controversial couple LeAnn Rimes and her husband Eddie Cibrian have reportedly nabbed a reality show on VH1.
The Cuban-American actor and his country singer bride made headlines in 2009 amid rumors he was cheating on then wife Brandi Glanville with his Northern Lights co-star Rimes. Cibrian and Glanville separated in July 2009 and were officially divorced in September 2010. Just four months later, Cibrian and Rimes announced their engagement. Cibrian and Glanville have two children together.
Glanville would go on to publicly bash her ex-husband and Rimes every chance she could. In June 2010, before their divorce was final, Cibrian felt it necessary to release a statement to E! Online stating, “I can’t change the past and I’m truly sorry that people got hurt along the way but not everything reported in the media is reality and continuing to rehash things publicly only makes it more difficult for everyone to heal. I hope for the sake of our children we can all move forward and heal privately. I wish their mother nothing but the best.”
The upcoming reality show is tentatively titled “LeAnn & Eddie” and is set to premiere on VH1 in the Fall 2013/Winter 2014 with 6 half-hour episodes.
“We are really excited to be working together on a unique show that will give you a glimpse into who we really are or better yet who we’re really not. We’re thrilled to partner with VH1 and The Gurneys to put our spin on a project full oflove, humor and music,” said LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian.
