A woman from Antofagasta, Chile took a wrong turn on her Drivers License Exam Test course, and sunk an SUV into the ocean.
The young driver-to-be was taking queues from her Instructor along the historical docks of the city’s port when she was cut off by another vehicle.
She accidentally stepped on the gas when she meant to break, a maneuver the Municipal Instructor couldn’t rectify, and the two plunged into the ocean.
Witnesses said that the teacher was able to come out before bubbles swallowed the SUV, but the student wasn’t able to unlock her seat belt. At the last second, a fish saleswoman named Bárbara dived in and was able to rescue the young woman.
The driver was taken to the Regional Hospital where she’s recuperating from the shock, and other injuries. It is not clear if she failed the Driving Test or if she will ever want to get behind the wheel of any car.
