We don’t think Robert Wedder didn’t like the Argentine wine at Boulder’s hip Centro Restaurant , we just think he’s a cheap ass. The Colorado resident, this weekend, tried to get out of a $33 bar tab by cutting through the restaurant’s plastic patio wall.
Apparently Wedder didn’t appreciate that Centro Restaurant is dedicated to a “soulfully delicious Latin cuisine” and has garnered numerous awards including “Denver’s 10 Best New Restaurants” and “Top Five Boulder Restaurants.”
The 42-year-old was confronted with the bar tab and then dashed to the patio taking out a knife to cut his way out of the tented patio. He clearly wasn’t intoxicated enough and was able to get out of the patio but was trapped by a metal fence surrounding the property.
Wedder now faces charges of felony menacing, defrauding an innkeeper and criminal mischief. Beside legal fees this outing is going to cost him at least $600 to replace the plastic wall.
