The Dominican Republic pitcher for the Minnesota Twins, prevented the White Sox from scoring at home, in the U.S. Cellular Field by pitching the first no-hitter of the baseball season.

Francisco Liriano y Casillas was born October 26 1983, in Juan Barón, San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.  Liriano is basking in the glow of alot of first’s.

Tuesday night’s was Liriano’s first complete game in 94 Major League starts; it was the first no-hitter for the Twins organization since Eric Milton accomplished the feat on September 11, 1999, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and the seventh official no-hitter for the franchise.  And of course the first no-hitter of the new 2011 baseball season.

¡Felicidades!
