A fan-made Twitter petition resulted in Demi Lovato singing the national anthem for tonight’s World Series clash between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals, currently tied at 2 games each.
The Texas Rangers will host the Saint Louis Cardinals tonight, after tying the World Series on Saturday.
Last week, a Demi Lovato fan used Twitter to ask other fans to “Tweet @Rangers and @MLB #Demi4WorldSeries #DemiNationalAnthemWorldSeries DEMI LOVATO NEEDS TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE WORLD SERIES!”
The initiative paid off, and the Latina teen star was invited to appear tonight at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and sing the Star Spangled Banner before tonight’s game, at 8:05 PM ET.
“Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!!! I couldn’t do it without you guys!!!!” Tweeted Lovato, a declared Rangers fan.
