Arizona authorities and U.S. Border Patrol are reporting two Border Patrol agents were killed when their SUV was hit by a moving freight train in Arizona. It is believed that these two agents and other Border Patrol agents were in pursuit of several illegal border crossers when the accident occurred.
The tragedy occurred at Gila Bend, Arizona earlier today and was confirmed by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Gila Bend is approximately 85 miles southwest of Phoenix.
The illegal immigrants that were being pursued escaped capture. The FBI has been called in to investigate the incident.
