The northern city of Ciudad Juarez in Mexico already considered one of the deadliest experienced the worse violence, early Friday with 25 deaths occurring throughout the city. Fifteen people were killed in one location when armed gunmen stormed four homes in the city and killed the residents believed to be involved in drug cartel activities. The city is a key battle ground for drug trafficking routes between the Sinaloa and Juarez cartels.
In other news in Mexico, at least five people were murdered in Guerrero with one body found floating in the ocean near a resort in Acapulco. In Morelos, Mexico a prison riot resulted in one death and numerous wounded prisoners.
