12 time Olympic winning swimmer, Dara Torres has announced she will compete in London at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. She last competed in Beijing in 2008 becoming the oldest swimmer to compete in the Olympics; she won three silver medals there. When she arrives in London she will be 45 years old placing her in direct competition with athletes half her age. This will be her 6th Olympic Games. Torres, when not in the pool, is also a sports commentator and author, her second book ” Gold Medal Fitness: A Revolutionary 5-Week Program” was released this year.
