Cupid Hates the Border

The owners of the video rental machines we all see outside our grocery stores have made a list of the least romantic cities in the U.S. based on rentals.

Citing the lowest number of romantic-comedy rentals, Redbox has dubbed the following the “Top 10 Least Romantic Cities”:

1.  Laredo, Texas
2.  Eureka, Calif.
3.  Tucson, Ariz.
4.  Las Vegas, Nev.
5.  McAllen, Texas
6.  Reno, Nev.
7.  Midland, Texas
8.  El Centro, Calif.
9.  Bakersfield, Calif.
10.  Corpus Christi, Texas

What is most notable about this list is that many of these cities are U.S.-Mexico border towns. This leads us to one apparent fact. Cupid hates the border.

So if you’re a lonely bachelor or bachelorette , and find yourself without a valentine today, maybe you should consider moving to one of Redbox’s “Top 10 MOST Romantic Cities.”

While you contemplate your love life, and start packing, take a look:

1.  Greensboro, N.C.
2.  La Crosse, Wis.
3.  Tuscaloosa, Ala.
4.  Buffalo, N.Y.
5.  Green Bay, Wis.
6.  Wausau, Wis.
7.  Sioux Falls, S.D.
8.  Fargo, N.D.
9.  Canton, Ohio
10.  Detroit, Mich.

Ooo, La Crosse, Wisconsin! Nothing says romance like freezing tus labios off. Maybe it has something to all the cuddling to stay warm. Who knows?

But you’d think nearly-naked Cupid would like a nice warm stop-off in Texas.
