The incident occurred in the Monterrey suburb of San Pedro, Nuevo Leon state emergency services officials told media outlets.

The workers were apparently remodeling a restaurant when around 12:30 a.m. Thursday they were crushed under the marquee.

Two of the builders were identified as Benigno Vallejo Flores, 47, and Hector Lopez Ochoa, 36, while the names of the other two were not mentioned.
