Popcorn maker, ACT II, is bringing its popcorn consumers ‘popular south-of-the-border’ flavors to its microwave popcorn. The queso jalapeño and salsa valentina flavored popcorn is coming here after being the company’s two top-selling flavors in Mexico.
Valentina is actually a snack sauce that Mexicans use to flavor their popcorn and other snacks. ACT II will now makes it easier for US consumers to enjoy the Salsa Valentina taste by providing a pour-over packet of Salsa Valentina flavor with their popcorn.
“The Hispanic consumer base is the fastest growing in the U.S., so it makes sense for us to bring these top-selling flavors to our consumers here,” said Jeff Caswell, brand director, ConAgra Foods.
