Photo: Mic Todd, Arrested for Robbing a Walgreens
Bass player, Michael Todd, for the band led by Claudio Sánchez robbed a Walgreens drug store right before a concert in Massachusetts.
Attleboro police caught Michael Todd at the band’s lounge in the Mansfield Comcast Center, right before the group opened for Soundgarden.
At 1pm Sunday, Todd enter the local Walgreen’s pharmacy, and showed the attendant a note in his cell phone that said he was carrying a bomb.
Todd, 30, ran away with six prescription bottles filled with Oxycontin and took a cab to the concert venue.
The band published the following statement in their webpage:
Mic Todd leaves tour, tour goes on
Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled.
We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour. For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.
