Late Friday 13 young partygoers were killed and 15 injured when two vehicles pulled up to them in a residential neighbor in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and opened fire. This attack comes on the heals of a similar attack on October 17 in the same town that left 7 dead.
After the still unidentified vehicles pulled up and began randomly shooting they stormed two homes where a party was being held. The police assume the assailants to be drug gangs since the evidence left behind points to weapons they typically use.
All victims ranged in age from 16 to 25 years old, though there are some reports identifying the youngest victim was a 9-year old boy. All the assailants escaped. Ciudad Juarez is considered one of the deadliest in the world as the Sinaloa and Juarez cartel battle for drug trafficking routes.
