Photo: Ipad Rental Service in Madrid
Check out “PadInTheCity” Madrid’s iPad rental service which is the first of its kind in the world. The tourist iPads include apps for entertainment and games, Spanish, English and German newspapers, hotel and flight information, car rental services, currency converters and more!
The service costs 25 euros (about 35 dollars) a day to rent.
Users book their iPad through www.padinthecity.com; then customers can select the rental dates, and where in the city they want the company to deliver the equipment—iPad, case and charger. The company also picks it up after the rental contract ends.
PadInTheCity is negotiating with the airlines, cruise lines, education and healthcare industries, among others to offer their service. “Places where people are bored,” said Juan Gómez, the company’s CEO in explaining the company’s expansion plans. Currently the service is only available in Madrid, Spain.
Gomez said that he and partner Francisco Peña found no other iPad rental companies in the market; one of their first customers started his own two weeks after renting an iPad from PadInTheCity.
