Central American Security Conference Garners 10 Presidents and Secretary Clinton in Attendance

President Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic will join US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and 10 Presidents, 40 delegations and international institutions at the International Conference for Support to the Central American Security Strategy that will be held on June 22-24 in Guatemala, according to official sources.

Felipe Calderon (Mexico), Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia), host Alvaro Colom (Guatemala), Laura Chinchilla (Costa Rica), Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua), Porfirio Lobo (Honduras), Mauricio Funes (El Salvador), Ricardo Martinelli (Panama) and the Prime Minister of Belize Dean Barrow will be attending the conference.

In addition, there will be 40 official delegations from South American and European nations as well as from international financial and international cooperation agencies, as well as agencies specializing in issues of security and the fight against organized crime.
