Castro Continues to Warn of Nuclear War

In his first official appearance in four years Fidel Castro addressed the Cuban National Assembly. Fidel Castro warned once again that the world is headed to a nuclear holocaust.  He continued to put the entire responsibility of such a dire situation on U.S. President Barack Obama and how he eventually deals with Iran.

The 84 year-old former President of Cuba, donning olive green fatigues, spoke for over 10 minutes focusing on U.S. relations with Iran and upcoming UN inspections of Iranian shipments.  He avoided discussions of Cuba’s domestic problems like the economy and political prisoners.

The 600 Cuban lawmakers present were moved by their former President, and guerilla fighter cheering and chanting “Fidel, Fidel” “Long Live Fidel!”
